C26000 copper wire is a 70/30 copper-zinc alloy (copper content 68.5%-71.5%, zinc balance), which belongs to the category of ordinary brass (H70). Diameter range:

Depending on different application requirements, the diameter range of C26000 copper wire is relatively wide. For example:

Copper wire for semiconductor bonding: The diameter range is 18 microns to 50 microns (can be expanded to more than 50 microns), and the specific models are distinguished by the "HC" series.

Industrial copper wire: Common specifications include diameters of 0.5mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, etc., which can be customized according to requirements.

Conductor diameter: In specific wiring harness applications, the actual core conductor diameter can reach 0.52±0.02mm (in accordance with GB/T 3953-2009 standard).

C26000 is a copper-zinc binary alloy (ordinary brass), the main components are:


Copper (Cu): 68.5%~71.5%

Zinc (Zn): Balance (about 28.5%~31.5%)

Impurity elements (total ≤0.3%):

Lead (Pb) ≤0.03%~0.07%

Iron (Fe) ≤0.05%~0.10%

Bismuth (Bi) ≤0.002%

Other trace elements such as phosphorus (P) and beryllium (Sb) are extremely low in content.



Mechanical properties vary significantly depending on the material state (annealing, cold working, etc.):


1. Annealed state (soft state)

Tensile strength (σb): 330-372 MPa or 340-460 MPa

Yield strength (σ₀.₂): 110-158 MPa or 70-230 MPa

Elongation (δ): ≥25% (some data show that it can reach 54-66%)

Hardness (HV): 85-145 or Rockwell B hardness 53-93

2. Cold work hardening state (such as H08 superhard state)

Tensile strength (σb): up to 830 MPa or 890 MPa

Key performance characteristics

Processing performance:


Excellent cold and hot processing performance, suitable for complex forming such as deep drawing and molding.


Contains a small amount of lead (0.03-0.07%) to improve machinability and reduce tool wear.

Corrosion resistance:


Stable in general atmosphere, fresh water and sea water, but prone to stress corrosion cracking, annealing treatment is required to eliminate internal stress.

Easy to oxidize and dezincify at high temperature, and protective atmosphere processing is required.
